As promised, I’m back to share another card I made for the May release from Picket Fence Studios and it does double duty with the newest sketch from Freshly Made Sketches. This versatile design by Karren Johnson is fabulous and I could not resist using the new Poppy Blossoms stamp and dies with it.
This new flower set has so many options and ways to use it. You already know that I can’t resist a flower but it is even better when a set has lots of image choices. I stamped the single flower and then colored using Copic Markers to give a pop of red. I did keep some light space to help show off the pretty details of the image itself. Once it was colored, I cut it out using the coordinating die for the focal point of the sketch.
I chose one of the smaller flowers as the side “circles”. I masked off the stem a bit with a sticky not and then stamped it twice on Neenah Desert Storm paper. The sentiment comes from an older set called Unicorn Friends. Pretty font, isn’t it? I kept the card really neutral to show off that bold flower and simply added a few sequins.Just a reminder if you did not see it yesterday….
