I am so happy to be back today with this awesome new sketch from Freshly Made Sketches. Our resident Artisan, Amy O’Neill, has created a super one for us this week. You will see the team has some cool interpretations and I think you will have fun with this one.
I continued on my efforts to color as much as possible for The Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge. I was very inspired by the incredible Dawn Woleslagle of WPlus9 and wanted to try her technique for creating a watercolor look using stamps. She is a true artist but I simplified her method a bit to make these little flowers. I have a video to show you the details.

I hope you have a great time playing along with us this week! Let me know what you think about the technique and tutorial, too. I’m working this week but brought along some coloring to do. With any luck, you’ll see the results in a card soon (or maybe on Instagram even sooner). Until then…have a great day! Thanks for stopping in!

Seriously this is a beautiful little gem of a card! Off to watch the video……
This is such a pretty card, Jennifer! I love the technique (great video) — I can almost picture myself being a real artist while using this technique. I’m going to have to try it. Love the way you’ve used the thread with the sketch!
Hi Jennifer,
THANK YOU for providing a tut as well as photo of your lovely card. It is so gentle and pretty, with the subtle grey background and then the bolder fresh blooms. The string and sequins are nice embellishments!
Love this card Jen! The white and grey looks amazing! Love those sweet, little blue flowers! So sweet!
I love the look of those flowers and their vibrant colors! And thanks for the idea of using thread on this sketch. I bet you didn’t even know you had inspired me to do the same!!
Absolutely beautiful Jennifer! So soft and wonderfully CAS.
This is so soft and pretty, Jen. Dawn is amazing, so I’m off to watch and see what you’ve learned from her. 🙂
Absolutely beautiful! I really love the grey and white theme – it has such a modern feel.
