Well, it is the last day of the February Release from Newton’s Nook Designs. It has been a great week and I’m super excited to share our final set, Woof Pack.
You had to know that Newton’s Nook would not leave out all you dog people out there. After yesterday’s Company of Cats it is so awesome to have a companion set for dogs. I thought it would be fun to make a few little “windows” for the dogs. I stamped the big background a couple of times and then chose a few of the sweet faces to highlight (other than the German Shepard, I chose pretty randomly….no slights intended, lol…I have a soft spot for Shepards after having one for 12 years). I colored using my Zig Clean Color Markers and then added some frames that were cut with stitched circle dies. The Pawprints stencil was a wonderful “go with” product for the dogs and I added that with embossing paste on Fog Gray card stock.
I thought you might like to see a list of all the breeds that are in the stamp image. Jennifer Jackson was kind enough to provide this and it was super helpful in my coloring.
Left to Right:
Top row: Bulldog, Chihuahua, Boxer, Jack Russell Terrier
Second row: Poodle, Dachshund, Beagle, Basset Hound
Third row: Cocker Spaniel, Yorkshire Terrier, Boston Terrier
Corgi squeezed in between the rows
Bottom row: German Shepherd, Saint Bernard, Pug, Labrador Retriever
This week has been wonderful and I’m always so humbled by the kind comments left for me. Thank you all for your encouragement and kindness. And now, one more chance to win!

Such a cute card!
Such a great card! I love how you used portions of the stamps to put the dogs in little windows!
The grey and white is soooo pretty together for your base and the red ribbon makes it all POP, and I LOVE the emboss paste paw prints! WOW! Your coloring is beautiful and the way you showcased your puppies in circles, is a wonderful creative way to use the stamp. I have two adopt-a-doggies, so I am partial to any cards with puppies. 🙂 Yours will be a DELIGHT to whomever receives it! 🙂
Awww!!! What a fabulous layout and background!!! Stunning card!!!
I’m totally in loooove with your fabulous design!!!!
That ribbon is the perfect finishing touch for this adorable card. Thanks for the inspiration.

Sweet card! Love that you just colored some sections of the large stamp and framed them!

Awesome card!
Fabulous texture on your backdrop, and those pups are so cute all trying to look out that window.
Love your peeks of doggies in your circle windows. Color is awesome, as always, and I love the red throughout.
I love shepards too – I thought our pup might have some shepard in him, he had a dark muzzle and a beauty marked when we adopted him 9 years ago. But the most common guesses from vets are long-haired dachshund/golden retriever, LOL!! I like your layout. The embossing paste has such a cool effect with the paw prints stencil (my favorite of course as I am a HUGE dog lover) and you colored the pups beautifully. Thank you for the inspiration!
Very cool project. Love your design. Thanks for sharing
I like the paw print background and the circle design.
What a cute idea!!!! Love the shakers
Great original use with this new Stamp Set I would have never thought of putting a card like this.
I love how you spotlighted just a few of the pups in circles! what a great way to get more mileage out of this set! So clever!
