Honeycomb Hello

Honeycomb Hello published on 1 Comment on Honeycomb Hello

I am sharing this project I created for the SugarPea Designs blog today. I love graphic geometrics and these cards are an easy way to create them.

I inked some Bristol paper using the graduating color palettes of Distress Ink.  Once I had it inked all I had to do was put in my nesting SugarCut – Stacked Honeycombs and cut a few all at once.  With the even spacing and the variety of sizes, this was so fast and created a bunch of honeycombs to play with.

I just chose random sizes and color combinations and formed patterns until I got them how I liked them.  Originally I planned a stamped sentiment (which would be totally great too) but thought the SugarCut – Hello was an even better choice.  A little more ink brushing and some quick cuts and those were done too.

For the black card, I used GinaK Black Foam Tape to pop up the elements. The black really blends and makes the adhesive less obvious. For the white card, I used the GinaK White Foam Tape. With all the honeycombs, I have enough to make one more card too. I hope you enjoy these cards and will give this technique a try. Thanks for stopping in today! See you soon!
