Happy Freshly Made Sketches day! Our wonderful Jacquie has such a clever sketch for us this week (which I kind of followed). I love unique shapes and this is their week to shine.
When I saw the diamond shape, I thought of this stencil. I don’t know why…it is sort of a diamond shape, I guess. But once it was in my head, that was all that was going to be in my head. Does that happen to you? Please tell me I’m not the only one. This is the Scandinavian Stencil from Erin Lee Creative. So pretty! I inked it up using a gradient of smokey blues from Altenew onto Bristol Smooth paper with my Taylored Expressions Blender Brush. I chose a sentiment from the Oh Emm Gee set by Erin Lee Creative. That set is really fun if you read them all!
So glad you stopped in today. Looking forward to seeing all the creative takes on this one during the week. Stay safe and I’ll see you soon.

I love this Scandinavian-style stencil! And I love your gradient ink color. Beautifully done, Jennifer!
I love that you said you thought of a stencil when you saw this sketch. It always fascinates me how others see things when they are designing. This is so pretty!! I love the soft colors you used and the addition of the stencils. Such a lovely card!
I’m like you, Jen, it is really hard to shake a design idea once it takes root. Love the ombre ink blending!
So fresh and fabulous! Gorgeous stencil! And yep I could listen to Lydia read the phonebook…..lol…
Oh this is amazing Jen! I just love that stencil and the gorgeous grey! So pretty and such a great take on the sketch!
Great stencil – I love all things Scandinavian!! It’s beautiful with the soft blues! Thank you for organizing yesterday – it was fun actually seeing everybody – AND their cats!!!
This card. It is a masterpiece, Jen! I love how simple and yet how incredibly eye catching it is! Love how your brain works.
Oh I love this and the softness of your background stamping! The ombre effect is so subtle and really effective!
