Happy Wednesday! I hope your week is going well. For those of you in the US, I’m sure you are getting ready for Thanksgiving and I hope yours is safe and happy! I’m the sketch hostess over at Freshly Made Sketches this week and I thought I’d give you one that wasn’t too complicated. Hopefully you’ll have some time in the hustle and bustle of your week to join in!
My card is one of those that was just impossible to photograph. I wish I could figure out why that happens but this one is so much prettier in person. I embossed Thick Whisper White using the Softly Falling folder and then cut out the butterfly with Bold Butterfly Framelits. Behind the butterfly, I used distress inks and sponged a rainbow of colors onto watercolor paper. Then I topped the colors with Wink of Stella to make it sparkle. I added some sequins left over from the Watercolor Wishes kit and a sentiment from And Many More stamped in Bermuda Bay.
I hope that you enjoy this sketch! I know the team has done their usual amazing work and you will love the inspiration as always!
I’m off the blog for a few days to enjoy time with family. Thanks so much for stopping in. See you soon!

This is beautiful, Jen! I love the soft, pretty watercolored butterfly and sequins. And the sketch is fabulous — I loved working with it. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Love your CAS card, even though you aren’t happy with photography it is beautiful. Love the watercolor background it really makes the butterfly pop.
This is lovely! So soft and pretty……love the delicate butterfly!
I love your sketch and I totally adore your card – the butterfly is beautiful and the colors behind it are so soft yet cheerful.
Oh this is really beautiful Jennifer! I love those pretty colours you’ve used behind your butterfly and the matching coloured sequins are perfect!
Wonderful, creative use of the sketch! Love the cut out butterfly on top of the soft colors.
So very pretty! Love this!
No one knows why some cards are hard to photograph. Actually I’m sure that someone does know but whoever he is, he hasn’t shared the secret with me! But your card shows really well so don’t worry! I can see the texture and your beautifully sponged colors just fine! And Wink of Stella always does a disappearing act so I will just image all that sparkly goodness!
What a beautiful card Jen! I love the picture though agree that the cards never look the same on the computer as they do in person! I love that butterfly! The colours are so pretty! Thanks for a great sketch this week!
Beautifully CAS card Jen. The water coloring is the perfect soft touch.
