Happy middle of the week!! I hope yours is going well. It is time for the latest Freshly Made Sketches Challenge and Lesley has brought us an awesome sketch!! This is one you will reach for again and again. I know that I already have some CASEing to do from the design team’s samples this week!
I told you the other day that I am starting to make my “seasonal stamper’s disorder” transition to fall colors (SSD = inability to stamp in anything but the seasonal colors, enabled by Stampin’ Up’s beautiful DSPs). I needed to make a card for my mom to use for a friend. You see, she has used some others that I have made for the wife in this family and the poor husband just could not be slighted! We got to work and created a card with last year’s Well Worn DSP (perfect for a masculine card and I keep it just for that!) and the always just right French Foliage. Now, I was looking at the sketch when I made the card with my mom but somehow still didn’t follow it. So that card is pictured below. I liked it enough that I created a new version with the actual sketch and will have it for a family birthday coming up in September. Wow, I’m actually ahead??!! The sentiment is from the new set You’re Amazing and I love how it is large enough to be the focal point! The leaves were stamped and then cut out and attached with an Early Espresso button.
Here is the original version I made. Some panels flipped around but otherwise the same card. Well, I was feeling pretty proud of these and THEN…I saw what the rest of the team has made. WOW, WOW, WOW!! Get right over there because their cards are fabulous!
I have spend the last two morning re-organizing my stamp area and you know what??? I am ready to get stamping!! Really…it was that bad. I couldn’t even think to stamp with the clutter. I suspect you will start seeing the results next week and I will have the paint can/tag information from the blog hop (over a week ago) on Friday. So glad you stopped in today. I hope your week is wonderful!
Stamps: You’re Amazing, French Foliage; Paper: Well Worn DSP, Naturals Ivory, Early Espresso; Ink: Early Espresso, Cajun Craze; Accessories: Neutrals Buttons, Linen Thread, Mini Glue Dots, Dimensionals

Both versions of your card are spectacular. I love to see masculine cards.
Great masculine card Jen! Love French Foliage!!! I need to de-clutter my stamping space as well but I’m not sure when that is going to happen! AHHH!!!! Not sure how many cards will come out this week!!!
There is no question that these are going straight to my CASE file! I love everything about them: the masculine colors, the stamp set (which is one of my all-time faves), and buttons! I’m in love!
I love the 2nd card the best!! But I like stuff on the left side of a card! Who knows why? LOL! I am not suffering SSD yet! but I am feeling the urge to use Cajun Craze. Hahaha! Love your work as always.
Hugs,
Lesley
PS My craft room is a disaster AGAIN! I need to de-clutter…ack!
Hi Jennifer! Wow! I love your fall cards! I can’t believe how real those leaves look! And so perfect for a masculine card!
Beautiful card – I love fall! And I have the same disorder – I cannot stamp out of season! There are no Christmas cards happening around here! I am breaking out the fall colors soon!
Great card, love those leaves. I have a stash of Well Worn DSP as well. It is the perfect choice for masculine cards!
Seasonal Stamp Disorder … too funny. Glad to have a name for what I suffer from though! :-)))
Wonderful masculine cards – those leaves are the perfect touch for that wonderful background paper.
Cheers, Karen
Gorgeous fall card, Jennifer! I love your dsp choices – they work so well with the French Foliage stamp set.
This is such a wonderful Man-Card, Jennifer! I love Well Worn and was glad to see it used here. Your card is so clean and stayed so totally masculine. And I love the way you flipped the sketch.
Such stunning cards! I love the leaves and I love how you flipped the sketch!
Wow …. such a beautiful card … I love your leaf and button accents – the perfect masculine card, clean lined and awesome!
Beautiful cards, Jen! I love the use of the Well Worn DSP – it adds such a comfy appeal and is so perfect for those men in all of our lives! You utilized it so perfectly.
Hope all is going well in your neck of the woods!
