Well, I can safely say that Teal has not really been in my repetoire but the new Sweet Pea paper from the Occasions mini may have changed that! I took the card you saw in the last post and made it a little more Clean and Simple for the Clean and Simple challenge over at Splitcoast. This week’s challenge was to use Teal and White plus one other color. This new paper adds such a fun splash of color and all I had to do was pop out a few butterflies with my Beautiful Wings embosslit! Easy and fun!
Stamp: Well Scripted
Paper: Sweet Pea DSP, Taken with Teal, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White
Ink: Taken with Teal, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories: Beautiful Wings embosslit, Mini Glue Dots
Layout: Amber Hight at Splitcoast (VLVJan2010 – Week 2)
I received my first (notice I say first) Occasions Mini order on Monday and finally got to play with the new things yesterday. I also received my Sale-a-bration goodies! They are not on this card but they are coming to my classes this month. I was just so happy with this card that I couldn’t wait to share it. These butterflies are made with my Beautiful Wings embosslit for my Big Shot. I was a latecomer to the Big Shot trend but I can’t tell you how happy I am to have it. Just imagine the possibilities for these little guys!! No more small designer paper scraps that you can’t use. Seriously, look at those little butterflies. Just put your little scrap in the embosslit, roll it through and you look like a creative genius!!
Ok, I’m done going on and on about these little guys (at least until my next card with them). Now just look at the “Happy Birthday” stamp on the card. This is from the Occasions Mini set called Well Scripted and the font is so pretty. I can see lots and lots of cards with this…my family will too, I think! The only “work” I had to do on this card was a little sponging on the Apricot Appeal butterflies to help them pop out. I used mini glue dots to attach them and left a wing free on the larger ones. This wonderful sketch was created by Amber Hight over at Splitcoast. All the other details follow this post. All products Stampin’ Up!
Thanks for dropping by!

I can finally share some of my pages from some My Digital Studio (MDS) projects I did for Christmas presents! I made calendars for my mom and for my mother-in-law and what a hit they were! I have never really scrapbooked before so this was an entirely new thing for me. I am here to tell you that the program from Stampin’ Up just makes it look easy! Stamps, papers, accessories, and (most importantly to me) colors are available digitally!! I obviously have a calendar full of pages but thought I should share one of my favorites.
I just love that I was able to put together this kind of page in my very first project! Even if you are a traditional paper scrapbooker, MDS could be the perfect planning tool for you. You can design your perfect page before you ever cut into your paper. I’ll be sharing more of my favorites over the next few weeks! Have a great week!
If you haven’t visited Pals Paper Arts yet, now is a great time! They have a wonderful sketch challenge – PPA24- that has loads of possibilities. In my continuing quest to make thank you cards, I kept with that theme. I simply love this Nouveau Chic designer series paper and my new Vintage Vogue set seems to be in heavy use right now! Nothing like a new stamp set to motivate your creativity. I encourage you to play along with this challenge and start your new year stamping right!
Stamp: Vintage Vogue (Occasions Mini)

Yes, it is official…I have countless thank you cards to make!!! You know the saying about long journeys. Something about starting with a single step, I think. Here is the first of many cards for the overwhelming generosity of my family this Christmas. Of course, I HAD to use my new Vintage Vogue stamp set. It is available in the new Stampin’ Up Occasions mini which just went active yesterday. I am ready for my first order and I can’t wait to share all the cool stuff this mini has to offer! As if is wasn’t enough to have all those lovely ribbons, brads, designer papers, stamps (did I mention SATIN ribbon??!!) to choose from, Sale-a-bration (SAB) has started too! Wonderful free stamp sets, a punch and even catalog sets to choose from…WOW!! You should have your Occasions mini and your Sale-a-bration flyer by now. I am starting to schedule classes for SAB now so let me know if you want to take advantage and earn even more free stuff by being a hostess! Ok, on to the card…
All of you who know me know that I have a ribbon problem. Yes, my name is Jennifer and I am a ribbon-a-holic! It seems that I also have a problem with hoarding Stampin’ Up’s lovely designer papers. I have made it one of my stamping resolutions to actually USE this paper and ribbon (crazy, I know). So while the stamp set is new, the papers and ribbons are retired. Please don’t hold it against me, I just have to make room for my wonderful Occasions mini order!
I have finally gotten with the times and committed to maintaining a blog. So here it is…bear with me as I learn about all the features available. I hope to share my adventures in stamping and to inspire you in your own creative endeavors! Now sit back and enjoy the flight!
