It is such a bittersweet time of the year at Stampin’ Up! As we prepare for the arrival of the new catalog it is time to say goodbye to some old friends! Yep…the Retirement Lists are here (just click on each to see them):
While the stamps are available until June 3, 2013, the accessories are only as supplies last. I strongly recommend that you order as soon as possible on those! The online store is the best way to do this! Link to my store here.
There really are some great deals here! Let me know if I can answer any questions or help you in any way!
I knew you would enjoy seeing a couple of the things we made at Stampin’ Up Regionals so I am bringing them to you today.
The stamp set focus for the day was Clockworks. It really is a fun set and perfect for collage stamping. This projects was actually designed to be a cover of a notepad but I decided to change it into a card. The Basic Gray background piece is scored using the Simply Scored Tool which adds a nice dimension. The stamps were inked in Pool Party, Calypso Coral, More Mustard and Gumball Green. The little strips were cut from coordinating colors and the pennant ends are hand cut. Three flowers were punched out of Pool Party with the Fancy Flower Punch, spritzed with water and crumpled a bit.
Our second project is this cute little box made with the Two Tags Die. Now their original design used Clockworks again but I did not make it at the Regionals. Instead I used Oh Hello to create it and the matching notecards. Calypso Coral, Gumball Green and Daffodil Delight are the colors. I will be using this as a hostess gift for a customer…so excited for her to see it!
I hope you enjoy seeing these as much as I enjoyed making them. Let me know if you have any questions about them! I hope your week has been good. Thanks so much for stopping in!!
We’re excited to let you know that we are offering FREE shipping on EVERYTHING April 6-8 (excluding expedited orders)! That’s right. There are no minimums or limits and all order types qualify (customer, demonstrator, workshop, online). Did we mention that the free shipping is on everything?
Yes, you read it right!! FREE shipping! I am so excited about this!! But not enough cool news?? Well, there is more:
Stampin’ Up has announced a color refresh. When we first did the Color Renovation in 2010, there was discussion of refreshing the colors every 3-5 years based on industry trends. Well…here it is!! While it is sad to see some favorites leave (Baja Breeze comes to mind, lol!), I am so happy to see some returning and just staying colors. And….a new color Smoky Slate. You know you want to see them together in their new families so here you go:
Finally a reminder about the fabulous new pricing on My Digital Studio. You can get the downloaded program or the program disc for the amazing price of $19.95. Hmmm, did I mention the free shipping with that if you wanted the disc??!!
So make your list and make sure you shop on April 6-8 to get the free shipping! Get the retiring colors and their accessories while they last. If you have a favorite, the free shipping is an added bonus!
I am so happy to introduce a new product call This and That from Stampin’ Up!!
Your life is: Awesome. Quirky. Exciting. Perfectly messy. And happening really fast. So we’re happy to introduce our newest product line that lets you capture it all on-the-go.
This and That will debut in the 2013-2014 annual catalog, but we’re giving you and everybody else the chance to get it now.
Take a look at this cool flyer and see the new This and That – all the products and the pricing are on the flyer!
We’re introducing the line with these five products, but we’ll be adding more This and That stuff as time goes on.
Bundle Dates: March 23-April 30 (remember the items that come in the bundle will be available in May and in the new catalog, but we’re only offering the discounted bundled until April 30).
You can get as many This and That products or bundles as you want.
You can buy the This and That products separately. But why would you do that when you can get all five together and save 15 percent?
Did your spidey eyes see that two of our In Colors (Calypso Coral and Pool Party) are included in the products? Your eyes were right. You’ll just have to check out the catalog transition information in April to see what that’s all about.
Not enough cool news??!! You can win a trip!! Enter the This and That Trip Giveaway by using this link and you can win a trip for two to San Diego.
I mentioned before that I was subbing at my boys’ school. Well for the last couple of weeks I have been subbing as the math and science teacher in the middle school section of the school. I have to admit that I was a bit nervous at first since middle schoolers are not known to go easy on subs in general. But I can say with all honesty that this group of kids was amazing. Oh, they tried a few antics (they are kids, after all) but they showed respect and were tolerant of the fact that I tend to skip steps on my math examples. I needed to sub due to a family matter with the teacher. This teacher is truly beloved by her kids and I’m sure that is why they cut me a break. They certainly don’t want to let her down! We needed a sympathy card for her homeroom kids to sign for her and I thought it appropriate that I make one for them. I went to my old standby Because I Care (retired hostess). I love this flower so much!! I also had some leftover retired DSP that seemed perfect as a background. I wanted this to be pretty and still convey the right tone. I inked the flower in Marina Mist and Crumb Cake and added on a shabby bow. I am really happy with the end result. More importantly, the kids liked it and thought she would too.
It is always hard to have to make a card like this but I am so glad that I was able to give an extra personal touch from her class. I can’t say how much I appreciate the opportunity to work with the “big kids” and how amazed I am that so many teachers do this every day with such grace and humor. Frankly…it wore me out!! *smile* I am back to my normal mom status in the school again this week and you can bet I’ll be saying thank you to the teachers even more!
I have another card for you tomorrow. Yes, we did get some snow days. I got a little stamping done, did some sledding with the boys, built a snowman and we kept our power!! All in all, pretty fantastic! I will see you tomorrow. Until then, thanks so much for stopping in!
Stamp: Because I Care (ret, hostess); Paper: Beau Chateau DSP (ret), Crumb Cake, Naturals Ivory; Ink: Marina Mist, Crumb Cake; Accessories: Crumb Cake Seam Binding, Linen Thread, Neutrals Buttons
As promised, here are some of the newly offered stamps from Stampin’ Up!
In addition to the new My Paper Pumpkin and Dude, You’re Welcome Kit, Stampin’ Up has just introduced some new stamps.
First, because the initial offering of single stamps were so popular, there are more! Take a look:
Second, as part of our 25-year anniversary celebration, we’re bringing back some of our favorite stamp images from the last quarter century and combining them into 12 sets, which will release-one set per month-during 2013. Even better, along with some great classic images, each “Best of” set will also include a never-before-seen image!
As a special incentive to collect the Best of stamps, starting in February we’re including a collector’s card and 25-year proof of purchase sticker with every Best of set. Collect six stickers, and send it in to redeem a FREE set of your choice valued up to $14.95! Free sets must be redeemed no later than April 30, 2014.
The first set is Best of Birthdays:
If you have any questions about these, I’ll be happy to help. If you are looking to order, just go to my online store and you can get them any time! Don’t forget to add them to your list for ordering during Sale-a-bration (it starts next week!) and they will help you qualify for free products!
As many of you may know, last week was the annual Leadership conference for Stampin’ Up! I was not able to attend but I am SOOOO excited about all the news that came from there! I hardly know where to start so I will go roughly in the order that things were announced.
First, Stampin’ Up is offering a brand new subscription program called My Paper Pumpkin. What is it?? It is a monthly kit that comes right to your door, ready to make. I know that sometimes we all run against a time crunch but still value our craft time. These kits make it possible for you to create “Pin worthy” projects in about 30 minutes. Wow!! Take a look!
Welcome Kit
This first picture is the Welcome Kit. No matter when you start your subscription, this will be your first kit. It even comes with a clear block…really, they thought of everything. You can order these on the My Paper Pumpkin site starting today and the first one comes in March. Make sure you click “I already have a demonstrator” so that you still get the same support from your demo that you love! You can skip a month or cancel at any time with no trouble. I signed up today and it was so easy!
Try It Kit
Not sure you want to commit?? You can order a Try It Kit on any regular Stampin’ Up order starting in early March just to see if this is for you.
Next, a very manly stamping kit has been introduced called Dude, You’re Welcome! You have to watch this fun video and then I’ll get you some details.

Finally, there are more (yes more) new stamp sets being released. There will be some of the very popular single stamps and some amazing 25th Anniversary celebration stamp sets. I’ll be happy to help!
Back tomorrow with a new SUO Challenges…you are sure to LOVE this week’s theme!! See you then!
Happy Tuesday everyone! I know it is an SUO Challenges day so I wanted to leave you a brief note letting you know we will be delayed on the challenge. Our team coordinator, Robin Messenheimer, has been ill this week. To give her time to recover, we are postponing our challenge theme until next week. I can’t wait to show you the card I have created since it uses a new set from the Spring Catalog!! Make sure you check back with the team next week to see what we have created.
I’ll be back tomorrow with TWO posts! One is the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge for the week hosted by the amazing Jen Mitchell and the other is a fun announcement. Until then, have a great day!
I am sitting here at home on Christmas Eve and you can touch the excitement in my house. The elf (Peyton is his name) is sitting in a wreath. The presents are starting to show up under the tree and the children are ready to watch The Polar Express later today. We look forward to the “Children’s” Mass later today at church since it is always a beautiful service. My husband and I are both home for Christmas…truly a Christmas miracle, it seems!
I thought this was the perfect card to share with you today since it expresses the sentiment of the season. “Rejoice” and “be glad”!! Our world is an imperfect place but how wonderful to take time to celebrate the Light and Hope that came to Earth in the form of a baby boy. In our house, the first thing we do on Christmas morning is rush to the nativity and place the baby Jesus in the scene and sing “Happy Birthday”. It is one of my favorite moments of the year. I hope that your Christmas is blessed and filled with joy.
Stamp: Rejoicing with You; Paper: Storytime DSP, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Whisper White; Ink: Early Espresso; Accessories: Early Espresso Baker’s Twine, Bronze Buttons, Jewelry Tag Punch
