I am so excited to be a part of this amazing group of Stampin’ Up demonstrators! If you haven’t heard of “The Crew” yet, you are going to be so thrilled with this. We are here to show you the versatility of one stamp set every time we hop (the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month). We have a whole team of people and different stampers participate each time. Like you, we look to find ways to maximize our investments and the single focus on one set allows you to see all the possibilities! This week, our featured stamp is Butterfly Basics. This set is a favorite from the Occasions Catalog and I’m so thrilled it has made it to the new 2015-16 Stampin’ Up Catalog too!
If you just came over from the wonderful Tanya Boser, I’m so glad you are here! If you want to see everyone who is hopping or if you get lost along the way, just click over to The Stamp Review Crew blog.
I thought I’d combine this beautiful stamp set with some retiring favorites! This Natural Filter paper is so pretty especially when texture is added to it. I used the Honeycomb TIEF to add the background design and then sewed it onto a Crumb Cake card base. I stamped the retiring Dictionary stamp in Crumb Cake ink onto this tag from Chalk Talk that was cut from Naturals Ivory card stock, added the little watermark and then the leaves from Butterfly Basics in Mossy Meadow. The butterfly from the set is stamped in Blackberry Bliss and cut by hand. I added some Basic Pearls, the Venetian Crochet Trim and a mini clothespin to finish.
I hope you like today’s card. Like you, I can’t wait to see all that the others have for inspiration! Hop on over to Betty Traciak to continue on your way around. So glad you dropped in today. See you again soon!

What a sweet card, Jen. I love the idea of embossing the filter paper for some soft texture. I also really like the use of the dictionary stamp on the background of the tag. I am going to miss that stamp!
This is an amazing card Jen. The embossing of the filter paper gives it so much texture and I love that some of the filter paper looks more embossed. Give the card such an interesting look! Love the stitching, love the tag, love the colours. Love, Love, Love this!
