Can you believe it?! Stampin’ Up’s Artisan Design Team is on to our October box! For those of you who are unfamiliar, the team gets a box of fabulous SU products to create our projects each month. This month we have a lot to be thankful for because Stampin’ Up has so many beautiful Thanksgiving and fall things. If you have come over from uber talented Jeanna, welcome to the next stop. If you are starting here, just continue around using the next buttons until you get back to me.
My inspiration for this card started with this gorgeous stamp set. When I saw the ribbon on the wheat, I knew I wanted to put one on the card too. I chose Pool Party and Smoky Slate as my colors. I stamped off the chevron image and put it behind the wheat then colored the wheat itself with a pencil. My amazing friend Heidi Baks has done this and I stored the idea away for the perfect day. I thought this was it! The ribbon on the stamp was colored with a Pool Party Marker. I put the words from Background Basics behind the ribbon to add a little more detail and made a “shabby” bow from Pool Party Seam Binding. A little stitching on the panels and some Basic Pearls to finish it off.
Starting with next week’s Artisan Wednesday Wow, I will start a series of projects using one of the kits from the Holiday Catalog. Next up on the hop is the fantastic Mercedes Weber. Make sure hop around the whole loop to take a look at fabulous creations of the whole team…you’ll be happy you did!

OH MY GOSH!!! I just LOVE this…I would never have thought to stamp this in gray, OR do an almost-monochromatic theme. JUST GORGEOUS!! Definitely pin-worthy! That’s why you are on the Artisan team!!!
I love the beautiful soft colors of this card and how the ribbon on the card mimics the ribbon on the artwork.
Knocked it out of the park with this one Jen! Especially Love the non traditional color combo!
This is so gorgeous Jen! I love the stitching and all of the little details! Wonderful job!
What a beautiful card. It’s fun to see you make a vintage style card (so used to seeing your CAS cards), yet it is spare enough that the lovely details such as the beautiful ribbon don’t detract from the subtle pencil coloring of the wheat. Love this!
A whole new level of wow here! This is gorgeous!
Simply elegant. Love your color combo – really highlights the beauty of these images.
Oh my gorgeousness! I LOVE this card, all of the layers, texture, the seam binding. . . breathtaking!
Lovely card – love the stitching – and wish I was brave enough to give it a go!!
