It is time for Stampin’ Up’s Artisan Design Team to show you some amazing things from our September box! For those of you who are unfamiliar, the team gets a box of fabulous SU products to create our projects each month. Not surprisingly, two of the things in the box this time are part of a special for all of September…the Butterfly Bundle! If you have come over from Jeanna, welcome to the next stop. If you are starting here, just continue around using the next buttons until you get back to me.
I was so happy to get Papillon Potpourri! It is such a lovely set! I thought I’d pair it with some Core’dinations Early Espresso to create a bit of a vintage look. I started by embossing a 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ panel of that paper with the Framed Tulips Embossing Folder. I sanded it just a little with the Stampin’ Sanding System to create this look. I then embossed another smaller panel with the Designer Frames Embossing Folder and used my Ovals Framelits to cut it out. It was sanded too. I stamped this sentiment from the Hostess Set Simply Sketched onto Natural Ivory card stock and punched it out with the Extra-Large Oval Punch. Now for the butterfly.
I stamped the little butterfly twice on White Vellum card stock using Early Espresso Ink then sprinkled it with Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed them. Using a blender pen, I added Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze ink to the back of the butterfly (to further soften the colors). Once I was happy with them, I simply punched out the butterflies with the Bitty Butterfly Punch. Yeah, it is that easy! I creased the top butterfly a bit and used some Crystal Effects to attach the two. Then I added some tiny Basic Pearls to finish him off. He is attached to the card using Crystal Effects too. I put a little bit of Sticky Strip on the Espresso oval and scrunched up some Victoria Crochet Trim and then put on the sentiment oval with Dimensionals.
Next up on the hop is the awesome Mercedes Weber. Make sure you go take a look at fabulous creations of the whole team…you’ll be happy you did!

ooohhh! Love your card. I haven’t used the oval frame embossing folder in a while. Maybe I should get it out again…
This is so elegant – and right up my vintage street!
I really do love it Jen – even with the butterfly – LOL. I also love that we both used the same technique this week!
