Vintage Friend

Today’s card is from my Vintage Card Class held a  couple of weeks ago.  What I loved about making this was that the Well Worn DSP does so much of the work in creating the vintage feeling.  Deb Currier of ARTfelt Impressions created this card using a Create with Connie and Mary sketch.  I just fell in love with it!  While mine uses different papers and stamps, it is a clear CASE of Deb’s lovely card.  The Well Worn prints are so pretty and I chose this awesome flower from Friends Never Fade (on the retiring list).  It is inked up with Not Quite Navy and River Rock markers and stamped on an oval from the Ovals Die.  Finally, the oval was embossed using the Designer Frames Embossing Folder.  I didn’t know at the time but this is full of retiring accessories.  The Oval Die, the Well Worn DSP and those two markers are on the retiring accessories list (only available while supplies last!).  Just to make sure you understand, the Stampin’ Write Markers will still be available in ALL colors.  However, some of the colors will only be available as part of a package and not for individual sale.  It seems that Not Quite Navy and River Rock fall into that category.  I used some light sponging and the Spritzer Tool to add some additional distressing then tied a bow with crumpled Very Vanilla Seam Binding (thankfully NOT on the retiring list since I love it so much!).

This card is kind of “vintage light” but I love that it was a quick card to make.  In fact, planning on making a few more!  I’m so glad you stopped in today.  I will be back next Tuesday with a new card for SUO Challenges.  It is a challenge you are sure to love!!  Have a great weekend!

Stamp:  Friends Never Fade; Paper:  Well Worn DSP, River Rock, Very Vanilla; Ink:  Not Quite Navy, River Rock; Accessories:  Big Shot, Oval Die, Designer Frames EF, Very Vanilla Seam Binding, Corner Punch, Sponges, Spritzer Tool, Dimensionals
