Before I start on details for the card, I want to talk a little about the new look for my blog.  For those of you who subscribe by email you may need to hop on over to the blog to see it.  When the Sent with Love Digital Kit came out, I had to get it of course.  My mom told me a while ago that while she liked the look of my blog that she did NOT like that the airplane was heading the wrong direction (down).  *smile*  With this new kit I am able to fix this.  YEA!!  So I would love to hear what you think about the header, signature block and shopping button.

Now on to the card.  We went a party this weekend for one of my older son’s friends from school.  So out came the Floral District DSP.  What is it about this paper that is so perfect for these cards for girls??  I think it is the bright happy colors and the prints that aren’t too frilly.  I found a great sketch over at CAS(E) This Sketch  and it worked perfectly with this big sentiment from You’re Amazing.  I added a little Pool Party scallop and the button is from the Artisan Embellishments Kit.  I thought a few random pearls around the sentiment and one on the button were a nice final touch.

Well, it seems that I never got to post on Friday so I thought I’d better get on it today!!  My boys had Thursday and Friday off for teacher conferences so we have been running around and doing kid things all weekend.  I did, at least, get a short time to stamp because I needed a birthday card for a friend’s party.  I found a cute sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch that fit the bill perfectly.  I simply punched some circles out of my Brights Designer Paper Pack and arranged them on my Whisper White Paper.  Then I ran the whole thing through the Big Shot with my Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  I put it on another layer for framing and popped it up on Dimensionals.  I added a button tied with Cherry Cobbler Baker’s Twine and a sentiment from Made For You.  Fun and quick!!

This sketch really is cute and I can see lots of ways to use it!  Sorry that I didn’t get the other post up.  I’ll just have to get it to you over the next couple of weeks instead.  Tomorrow I will be back with a fun new theme from SUO Challenges and Wednesday I am the sketch hostess for Freshly Made Sketches!  I hope to see you play along for both!  I have a tags and packaging class tomorrow and I’m so excited about getting together with my stampers!!  I’ll be posting those next week!  Thanks so much for stopping in today.  See you soon!
