Wow, what a gallery we had in last week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge. Thanks to all who played along with my sketch! This week we have a fabulous sketch courtesy of the incredible Jen Mitchell. Her style and attention to detail always wow me!
My card this week should come with a disclaimer *Does Not Follow Simple Instructions Well*. I flipped the sketch, kind of. Only the center panel though. Hmmmm…. Hopefully Jen won’t mind too much. I was just obsessed with using this bird from the new set Beauty of the Season. He is so fantastic. And I had to color him. I had to! I framed him with a cut out from the On Film Framelits (cut from Early Espresso ) and added a sentiment from a set that is not even in the Holiday Catalog is it so new. It will be a set you can get for hostessing in an upcoming promotion and it is called Good Greetings. You will need it too. It is awesome. The Vintage Faceted Button was colored using the Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities (just like the bird). A little Burlap Ribbon and that awesome Kraft Card Stock for the finished card.
You know that the team at FMS has amazing inspiration for you this week. Because they always do! And we have a guest stamper for the whole month of August. Kim Singdahlsen has joined the Clean Team (and the ensuing craziness)! Please go give her a warm welcome! Back soon with some more of my Display Stamper projects. Until then, have a great week!

More Convention Display Board projects for today! (Remember to click on the button above to link to all the other display stampers on our Pinterest board)
Today I am showing you some projects using the new stamp set Kinda Eclectic. This was the set I was most excited to get with display stamping and it did not disappoint! So many beautiful things to create with it!
My first card was all about that lovely new Kraft Card Stock. Wow it is pretty! I hand cute the little banners out of Canvas Creations and stamped the leaves on with Mossy Meadow after having stamped them off a bit. The focal layer of the card was first stamped with the Dictionary background in Soft Suede (also stamped off) and then the dots from Kinda Eclectic. I added the sentiment in Mossy Meadow. The Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly Punches (which also coordinate with the set) were used to punch Champagne Glimmer Paper. I added Linen Thread to create the banner feel and the added the butterflies. It didn’t seem complete so I put on some Basic Rhinestones that I had colored with the Skin Tone Assortment of Blendabilities.
My next card stayed with the neutrals feel but with a pop of color. The card base is Crumb Cake. I stamped the leaves in Versamark and embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder onto Soft Sky Card Stock. Then, using the Skin Tone and Coastal Cabana Blendabilities, I added the color details in the leaves. Patience and a light touch were all that were required to get this added dimension to the stamping. The sentiment was stamped in Crumb Cake. I frayed one edge of the 1-1/4″ Burlap Ribbon and added it to the side of the panel. A Very Vintage Button tied on with Linen Thread finishes the card. I love the look of this one!
Finally a card that I do not think make the boards at Convention. And I know why! After seeing the Make & Take using this set, I realized that mine was really similar. I would have sworn mine was a CASE if I didn’t know I made it before seeing the cards, lol! In any case, you can see that I used three of the new In Colors for this and love the result. Hello Honey, Blackberry Bliss and Mossy Meadow….gorgeous together. There is Crushed Curry Baker’s Twine looped behind and the pearls are colored with the darkest of the Daffodil Delight Blendabilities.
I hope you enjoy seeing these projects as much as I enjoy sharing them. Back tomorrow with a new card for Freshly Made Sketches. Until then, have a great day and thanks so much for stopping in!

You know I had to do it. It was too obvious, don’t you think?! As I was ending my Artisan year and looking to the future, the first thing I wanted to add in was a loyalty program. To say thank you to my customers for all their support of my business! Was there really any other name I could choose??!! I think not! I am also adding some new product based class offerings. Today I tell you about one for my local customers but no fear. I have something in the works for those of you who don’t live near me. I’ll be revealing the details on that one later this month because it involves the upcoming Holiday Catalog. I am working busily behind the scenes to get it ready for you and can’t wait to share…. But enough on that. Today the things I CAN tell you!

Product Based Class Offerings
I have so many ideas I want to share that it was hard to know where to start. I think many of you are like me and you don’t like “one trick ponies”. You know…products that look great at first but have limited usefulness. I have to say that Stampin’ Up does a great job with the flexibility of their products but I want to show you how to get the most out of some of the latest offerings. So I’m starting with Blendabilities! Because I love them!
*****Blendabilities “on the Fly” *****
We will created 3 projects demonstrating different techniques with the Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers. You will receive a FREE Cherry Cobbler Assortment of the markers and a Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad with the class. If you already own this color, substitution is allowed but you will need Cherry Cobbler for the class. I will provide all the pre-cut materials, accessories and additional colors of Blendabilities to complete your projects. Class fee is $25. Prepayment required no later than August 14, 2014.
Class in Jen’s Stamp Room on Saturday, August 23rd at 2p. Prepayment is your RSVP.
I can’t wait to get going with my new class and project ideas this month. Looking forward to sharing what I love with both my local customers and those of you who live a bit further away.
And since I can’t leave without showing you a card, how about this one?
This is another of my Display Stamper projects for Convention using the Seasonally Scattered stamp set. The beautiful Moonlight DSP Stack does most of the work with the lovely prints and I just stamped on the image with Blackberry Bliss ink. The Basic Metal Button was tied with Baker’s Twine colored with a marker.
Back soon with more projects from the Display Boards. Until then…I hope your weekend is great! Thanks so much for stopping in!

You all know Narelle as the queen of fussy cutting but she is also amazing at creating sketches! Just take a look at what she has for us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!! Yeah, I know….fabulous! So fabulous that it took me a bit to narrow down all the ideas I had.
Basically the decision was made for me when I picked up this already colored flower that I had made while my mom was visiting. I was showing her all the cool stuff you can do with Blendabilities and we use this retired Elements of Style stamp to play with. She chose it from my BOGO offerings after she made an order (for Blendabilities, of course). The depth of color from these markers really is fantastic! And yes, you can use them on other than White/Vanilla paper. You have to watch the bleed a little because the paper weave is looser but it is easy enough to get the feel for it! I combined it with the Dictionary Background Stamp after cutting my colored image out with the Ovals Framelits. All I had to do was add on some retired Naturals Ribbon and the new Venetian Crochet Trim (LOVE this trim!!). I tied a Very Vintage Button with some Linen Thread and called it done. YAY…..I actually used a panel from my “to-make” pile! Piece by piece I’m trying to catch up!
So this weekend I can actually start posting some of my projects from display stamping but where should I start?? With a brand new set from the Holiday Catalog (being released to demos later this week) OR with Kinda Eclectic OR with Amazing Birthday?? I’d love to know what YOU want to see first so let me know!
I hope your week is great! Until this weekend….have a great rest of your week!

Oh, do we have a fun one for you this week at Freshly Made Sketches!! The oh so creative Cindy Lovell is our hostess this week so it is no wonder the sketch is cool! And speaking of cool….did you hear the news??!! Blendabilities are officially available for order!!! Yes, these wonderful markers can now be yours! There are six colors available plus the skin tones, color lifter and the coordinating Memento Black Ink. To celebrate, I’m sharing this with you.
I have a confession to make. I did not color this whole flower. I was showing my mom the new markers last week during her visit and my 8 year old son want to color too. Who can say no to that?! Not me!! So he chose his colors (Coastal Cabana) and started a few petals at a time like I taught him. Being an 8 yo boy, he lost interest about halfway through the flower and told me that I could finish it, lol. But can you tell my coloring from his….I can’t! Still not sure about these fun markers or how to use them? Check out this section of tutorials from Stampin’ Up on YouTube:
There are lots of ways to blend and many are just personal preference. Just get the markers and start experimenting. You’ll be so happy you did! Just so you know, all the colors are not available yet but they are coming. Demos get to order some more colors now and customers will be able to on August 1. Need another reason to become a demo now? I didn’t think so, LOL. I’d love to have you join my team if you are interested!
Ok…back to the card. Sorry to digress but the news was too good not to share. After coloring the flower, I cut it out and went back around the cut edges with my Basic Black Marker to clean up cutting variations (make sure you come from behind the image). For the sketch I backed the flower with a Tea Lace Doily and added a Bermuda Bay panel and some of the new Hello Honey Stitched Satin Ribbon. I was out of Curry buttons but no fear, Blendabilities are here! I took a So Saffron button and colored it with my darker marker from the Daffodil Delight set and voila! A matching button. More blendies coloring on the pearls to use as accents. The sentiment is from the always awesome Teeny Tiny Wishes!
The team has a fabulous variety this week so I hope you’ll go visit them and thank them for the inspiration! Hoping to be back later this week with one more post. Hoping I’ll get a little more creating done later today. Until then….have a fabulous day!

Welcome to our last May Artisan Wednesday Wow hop! We have had such fun this month sharing Project Life and Blendabilities! If you just came over from the amazing Jeanna, welcome to the next stop. If you are starting here, just continue around using the next buttons until you get back to me.
This week I’m all in on Blendabilities!!! These are the latest ink offering from Stampin’ Up and I am completely in love. Now, they will not be available when the new catty goes live on June 2nd but I’m hoping they will be available really soon afterwards. Trust me….they are worth the wait!
I created these variations of the Blended Bloom stamp and I love how pretty the card is in all the colors. The first two are Coastal Cabana and Cherry Cobbler. The flowers are colored on Whisper White paper after being stamped in Momento Tuxedo Black Ink. I cut them out and gave them leaves from Peaceful Petals. The sentiment is from the same set. Oh….and Peaceful Petals is not continuing into the new catty so get it now! I stamped the background using Dictionary in Smoky Slate purposefully leaving spaces unstamped. I did stamp off once. Notice the perfectly matching gems? Yep….Basic Rhinestones were colored with the Blendabilities too.
Okay, off to go visit the awesome Mercedes Weber. I can’t wait for you to see what she has created! Make sure you hop around the whole loop to take a look at beautiful creations by the whole team…you’ll be happy you did!
