I’m over at the SugarPea Designs blog today with a fun card for inspiration. As I wrote there, I love when I find products that go together even though they were not designed together.
Not gonna lie, it was really all about the glasses for me. I had not played with this particular die in the Open Book SugarCut set and needed to fix that. When I cut them from the green glitter paper, my oldest called them Rita Skeeter glasses because they are acid green. Made me love them even more! It is the details on them. The fact that the die has the little arms and not just the frames! I could go on and on.
I chose a piece of striped paper from my stash since I thought the black and white showed highlighted the color more. As I was looking for ideas, I came upon the Happy Word SugarCut and its sister stamp set, Happy Thoughts. This play on words with the glasses made me chuckle and I knew I had a winner. So I kept it simple (yeah, I know, I usually do) and just kept the word die black with vellum and added the rest of the sentiment on a panel. It was almost done. But what was missing? A little more sparkle! I remembered the little stars from the Piece of Cake SugarCuts and thought they were just the right thing.
I hope you enjoy this one today. Thanks so much for stopping in today. See you soon!

Oh my gosh, this is so fun! I couldn’t remember who Rita Skeeter was….had to look it up, LOL! I can see why your oldest thought that! They are so bright and fun against that bold background!
This is so eye-catching!! The pop of the glittery green glasses on the bold black and white – perfect!!
