Another week has flown by and it is time for the newest challenge from Freshly Made Sketches. The amazing Jen Mitchell is our sketch designer this week and her sketch is fantastic.
I thoughts I’d pull out my Daniel Smith watercolors for this one and create a bit of a wash for the rounded corner square. But what image to use as a focal point? After scanning through, I came upon the Little Lilies set from Newton’s Nook Designs and I thought it would be perfect for the job. I painted it and cut it out using the coordinating dies and then decided it would be nice to add a wash of color to the crossing panel too. So a little more painting (and waiting to dry). Finally, I found this sweet sentiment from Simon Says Stamp’s Beautiful Ride that seemed just right for the little flowers. A quick little card for a sweet sketch!
Short and sweet today. Out on a trip and then back to finish up some details for the big January/Creativation Release from Picket Fence Studios. Hop over and check out all the great cards from the DT this week at FMS and I hope you’ll join us. Have a great rest of your week and see you soon!

Those little flowers are precious. I always loved finding them out in the wild. Awesome watercoloring!
What a beautiful card! But then all of your creations are beautiful! Looking forward to your 2019 makes!
This is so beautiful. Lily of the Valley is a favorite of mine. When I see it out my kitchen window I know that spring is here!
Lilies of theVAlley are my fave! Love this sweet card and the yellow background is perfect!
So sweet!! Such a dainty little flower – and just right on the soft yellow.
Gorgeous card Jen! I just love the watercoloring! It’s so pretty! Love those sweet flowers too! We’ll be thinking of you this week!!!
Soft and pretty and beautifully made. Love this one, Jennifer!
This is gorgeous! That floral image looks so delicate and pretty and I love the background.
There are times when short and sweet is good, Jen, and this is one of those times. And your card is super sweet! I think that is the best word to describe lilies of the valley-such little beauties. Love that background wash too!
