I am so excited to be a part of this amazing group of Stampin’ Up demonstrators! If you haven’t heard of “The Crew” yet, you are going to be so thrilled with this. We are here to show you the versatility of one stamp set every time we hop (the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month). We have a whole team of people and different stampers participate each time. Like you, we look to find ways to maximize our investments and the single focus on one set allows you to see all the possibilities! This week, our featured stamp is You’ve Got This. This set is a hero of this year’s catalog. The beautiful flower plus the wonderful sentiments makes it a real winner!
If you just came over from Dawn Tidd, I’m so glad you are here! If you want to see everyone who is hopping or if you get lost along the way, just click over to The Stamp Review Crew blog.
I wanted to play some more with the watercolor look for this flower so I stamped using Versamark Ink onto watercolor paper and then heat embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Using Zig Clean Color Markers (#21 Light Carmine, #46 Mid Green, #50 Yellow, #91 Light Gray) I colored the flowers. I love how these markers coordinate with my Stampin’ Up color palette so it makes my coordination simple. I added the sentiment by stamping it in Smoky Slate along with some Smoky Slate splatters. For just a little more dimension, I added White Perfect Accents except with a trick. With a little attention you can peel the white back off of the dots and then they are clear (looking like water drops). Using glue dots I just added them onto the card that way. No extra color but a pretty little accent. The image panel was popped up and put on a Smoky Slate card base.
I seems that I’m ready to move into spring colors and it hasn’t even really acted like winter here. I hope you like this little burst of flowery fun! You can continue the hop by jumping over to see my friend Heidi Baks. I can promise you’ll be wow’d! So glad you dropped in today. See you again on Wednesday with a new Freshly Made Sketches challenge!

This is so soft and pretty, Jen! I love the Accents, with their backs removed, as water droplets. They are so fitting with the beautifully watercolored flowers.
Whoa….this is gorgeous! Mad watercoloring skills girl!
Your watercoloring is beautiful. I love the soft colors and the embossed sentiment. Thanks for the inspiration. Even though winter temps are arriving tomorrow, I’m always ready for spring colors to brighten my day.
Beautiful job coloring and I love it on the smoky slate background. Beautiful card!
So pretty, and you’ve reminded me of some important watercoloring tips that I’ve neglected (and why my results don’t equal yours!). Thanks for the hint on the Perfect Accents!
Such beautiful water colouring Jen. Love the softness and addition of smoky slate…It’s a perfect backdrop!
So very pretty! Love the little clear accents detail – very fun!!
