If you haven’t already heard, the new In Colors for 2011-12 have been revealed and demonstrators are able to get them now. Talk about an advantage to being a demonstrator!! My little pre-order for the new catalog arrived Monday and I have finally been able to play with the new colors.
The first color I pulled out to use was Wisteria Wonder. Many of you know that I’m funny about using purples but THIS purple is really beautiful. I paired it with Elegant Eggplant and Pear Pizzazz for this but I see lots of other pretty uses. Because this is a box set, I kept the layout and embellishments pretty basic…it has to fit in the box after all. I also continued on my retired/retiring kick. Come July you’ll see nothing but new so it seemed like a good time to pull out some old favorites. The flower comes from the retired hostess set Of the Earth.
I paired it with some last pieces of Greenhouse Garden on one the card styles. On this first card I also used a sentiment that comes from All Holidays (a retiring set). This stamp has seen a lot of use…perfect words, font and size! I hope my lighting does Wisteria Wonder justice. Probably best if you just get some for yourself in July! *smile*
The other card style uses the same flower with a sentiment from the retiring hostess set Apple Blossoms. I foresee this set staying with me for a while! The card box has a total of eight cards with coordinating envelopes. It is a simple box to make and I have the tutorial from a post back in January. If you would like it, I’ll be happy to send it to you (the tutorial will have different images but the basics are the same).
Thanks for stopping in today. It is officially the beginning of summer at my house today at 3p. I’ll do my best to keep posting during the summer but with the boys home I’m sure some of my stamping time will be spent in other fun ways. Have a great weekend! See you next week.

Love this project! Beautiful!!
Oh these are so pretty!! I haven’t dug into my new in-colors yet — these look fabulous!
Hi Jen – would you please send me the tutorial for the card box+cards+envelopes.
The Wisteria Wonder is such a delicate shade and your choice of stamps has shown it off to perfection.
Beautiful! I can’t wait to get my new in colours!
Can I please get the tutorial for this project? It looks perfect for some gifts that I need to make! I grew up with wisteria vines growing in our backyard and my parents hating them because “they take over everything”. I hope there is a wisteria stamp coming out in the new catalog to go with this paper! I love your combo of it and the Pear Pizzazz and thing a wisteria vine would look awesome on it! Thanks for sharing!
Love your cards and Wisteria Wonder the perfect color for them. Please send me your tutorial for making the box. I have a friend I want to give a gift set and this would be the perfect set. Thank you!!
LOVE this project and would love to have the tutorial. I’ll look it up for sure. TFS
Another wonderful project. Love the colors you used and the clean and simple look. TFS!
p.s. my post today mentioned how hard I find it to use purple. You make it look so easy, lol!
So pretty–elegant and simple.
Love these little notecards!
This is so pretty! What a nice gift.
