Welcome to day 1 of the November Release from Newton’s Nook Designs.  We have such fun products to show you this week and we are starting today with lots to share.  Two stamp sets and two new stand alone die sets….wow!

Everything Nice by Jen Timko | Cup of Cocoa Stamp Set and Dies by Newton's Nook Designs, Snowfall Stencil by Newton's Nook Designs, Copic Coloring, Be Merry DSP by Stampin' UpOur first set I’m showing you is called Cup of Cocoa! ** Warning:  Triggers uncontrollable tendencies to run to the kitchen and make some cocoa immediately!! ** I used the Color Theory paper from Stampin’ Up and the Snowfall Stencil from Newton’ Nook as an embossing folder.  This is a great way to stretch your stencils and add fun details to a background.  I colored this adorable cup from the set to match the ombré paper.  Fun, right?!  The new Frames & Flags Dies create quick banners that layer wonderfully and all I had to do was add a sentiment from the stamp set.

Snow-one else by Jen Timko | Frozen Fellowship Stamp Set by Newton's Nook Designs, Frames & Flags Dies by Newton's Nook Designs, Zig Clean Color PensFor my second card, I get to show you Frozen Fellowship.  This is perfect for holiday cards but it continues to work into the rest of winter too!  The minute I saw this set, I knew exactly what I wanted to do.  I loved the idea of choosing one of the snowmen to stand out as unique and the used this fabulous sentiment.  Using my Zig Clean Color Markers, I colored all the snowmen in shade of gray.  Then chose this funny little guy at the bottom for full color (I confess that choosing which snowman to have color was the hard part, haha).  I used the new Frames & Flags Dies again here and you can see how awesome they are to create layers.

Yes, indeed, this is another amazing day 1.  And I did tell you there are two new stand alone dies.  The other one (which I will use later this week) is called the Fancy Edges Tag Die set and you are going to love it!  You can see all the features in the graphic below.  Now on to everyone’s favorite part of release week.  A chance to win!!

Would you like to win the “Cup of Cocoa” or the “Frozen Fellowship” Stamp Set?

Lovely Yellow Blooms

Lovely Yellow Blooms published on 2 Comments on Lovely Yellow Blooms

Lovely Yellow Blooms by Jen Timko | Lovely Blooms Stamp and Dies by Newton's Nook Designs, Chameleon Pens, Color Theory DSP by Stampin' UpToday is my day to share a project on the Newton’s Nook Designs Blog and I just had to continue with making pretty summer cards with this Lovely Blooms stamp set.  This flower set really is awesome for coloring!

Is there such thing as a yellow hydrangea??  I’m not sure but I created one in any case.  Using my Chameleon pens, I colored the flowers and the leaves to coordinate with this new Color Theory DSP from Stampin’ Up.  I LOVE this paper!  It is the perfect background for almost any image but it really shows off this flower.  The sentiment is a go-to for me lately and it comes from the Happy Little Thoughts stamp set (NND).  I colored some Basic Pearls with the Olive Chameleon pen and added those fora little more detail.  The whole image panel is on a Crushed Curry card base.

For those of you in the US, I hope you have a wonderful and safe 4th of July!!  So glad you stopped in today.  See you tomorrow with the latest from Freshly Made Sketches!

Stamp: Lovely Blooms (Newton’s Nook Designs); Ink:  Momento Tuxedo Black, Chameleon Pens (Y03 Warm Sunset, OL3 Olive Green); Paper:  Thick Whisper White (SU), Color Theory DSP (SU), Crushed Curry; Accessories:  Big Shot, Lovely Blooms Dies (Newton’s Nook Designs), Misti, Basic Pearls

Freshly Made Sketches #293

Freshly Made Sketches #293 published on 7 Comments on Freshly Made Sketches #293

FMS293 by Jen Timko | Color Theory DSP by Stampin' UpWhere did the week go??  Wow, it is already Wednesday!!  And what a sketch we have for you today. The amazing and oh so talented Karren Johnson is our sketch hostess this week at Freshly Made Sketches and she created a really clever one for us this week.

I opted to show off this gorgeous new DSP from Stampin’ Up called Color Theory.  There are tone on tone variations that are simply fabulous.  This one is an ombré effect that I just love.  I not only cut out the shaped panel with it but I used the bottom piece that I cut off (for size) for the die cut word.  I LOVE when paper does all the work for you!  This fun edge is cut using the Border Builders Dies from Lil’ Inker Designs.  The sentiment is a retired SU die.  Just a few sequins added for that extra dimension.  My husband needed a thank you and I think this is the perfect masculine card for him to send.  I struggle with that sometimes but I think this one is just right.

The team has such a variety of cards this week and that is always a great indicator of a fun gallery.  I cannot wait to see all that you create!  I hope you have a super rest of your week.  Thanks for stopping in!

Supplies:

Paper:  Color Theory DSP (SU), Thick Whisper White (SU); Accessories:  Big Shot, Border Builder Dies (Lil’ Inker Designs), Greetings Thinlits (SU retired), Sparkling Clear Sequins (Pretty Pink Posh)
