Happy Wednesday!!  Today is Freshly Made Sketches day and I’m happy to share a classic sketch with you for the week.  This one by Narelle is simply a go-to winner!  LOVE it!

FMS359 by Jen Timko | Layering Leaves Dies by Concord and 9th, Give Thanks Stamp Set by Concord and 9th, Daniel Smith Watercolors, Wonky Stitched Dies by MFT StampsIn a surprise move, I actually opted not to use flowers for the circle elements.  That is usually where my brain goes but given that fall seems to be wanting to finally show up, I decided leaves were decidedly more appropriate.  And what better leaves to use that the Concord and 9th Layering Leaves Dies?!  They are gorgeous and perfect!  I cut the leaves from watercolor paper first.  Then, using Daniel Smith watercolors, I painted them with fall colors.  If you have never used these high quality paints, I linked a palette of these watercolors below.  This is a perfect way to try them (and fall in love with them!) with virtually no commitment.  I love the sentiment from the coordinating Give Thanks stamp set because, well, it is true.  At least when it actually acts like fall.  Which has been not at all this year.  I thought the Wonky Stitched Dies were a nice look with the style of the leaves and I used it on Gray Granite cardstock (SU).

You are going to be in awe when you take a look at all the design team created! I think they just knocked it out of the park this week.  There are so many ways to interpret this sketch and I’m certain the gallery will be full of inspiration too.  I hope you will join us and share your creation.  We love seeing what you make!

I’ll be back tomorrow with another card using October release products from Picket Fence Studios.  So glad you stopped in today.  See you soon!
